We lasted exactly two years before Gwen needed glasses again. I think she still looks super cute!

Luxury for Two Days

The best way to go to St. George. One hour flight and we were in sunny Southern Utah.

My favorite room in the house.

This is what I woke up to in the morning from our bedroom.

Thanks to our good friends for treating us to such a great trip! We had a great time with great people!

Corn Belly

Saturday we headed to Thanksgiving Point for some good pumpkin patch fest.

A very large rocking chair. It may be in competition with the one in Beaver.

Asa can climb anything. He has amazing balance. I think he got that from me...

Gwen and Asa as a princess and knight sitting in a carriage.

Gwen in a nut shell.

I had to post this picture. I thought he looked super cute in his Ray Bans.

A Boy And His Dog

The only reason Stella hangs around Asa is because she can usually find food by him or on him. Poor Stella, she's always getting tortured by him.

Caramel Apples

Tonight we wore our aprons and made caramel apples. Daniel has many cooking memories as a child and this is the only memory I can really remember doing as a child. It reminds me of the holidays spent with my Grandparents.

What I've Learned Today:

-P90X yoga is the hardest class I've ever taken in the comfort of my own home. Every inch of my body is screaming at me today.
-Hide markers from young children. You'll spend the afternoon scrubbing walls.
-The new closet full of Lauren's clothes is working out to my advantage.
-I'm a Maui Jim's girl and always will be.
-I don't have a Thyroid problem and I'm not anemic.
-Working at Fastsigns is much easier without kids but it's more entertaining if they're around.
-It's now Fall and I'm sad surfing season is behind us.

What The Kids Are Saying

The other night Daniel asked Gwen, "Where does milk come from?"
Her answer, "From the fridge."
I love this stage where they say funny things. I think she would be a real character on that show with Bill Cosby where he asks kids strange questions.
Asa is a talker now. He's saying four word sentences and having conversations with Gwen.
It's cute to watch them become friends.

In The Past Two Weeks

We've put more than 40 hours on the boat surfing. Enjoying the last warm days as much as possible. Gwen and Asa are getting so used to the boat now.

Read the next installment of The Hunger Games called Catching Fire. If you haven't read them you should. Suzanne Collins is amazing.

I've finished 48 credits in the last month for my National Massage License. Would not recommend waiting till the last minute to get it done.

Daniel and I were able to go to the BYU vs. Oklahoma game in Texas. The Cowboy stadium in unreal. I've never seen anything like it. And as for the game, it was incredible to watch it in person.

And now we are welcoming a new roomie to our house. My sister Lauren has decided to take a year off school and live with us and work her tail off to pay for her school.

Multiple Injuries

Asa is the worlds busiest kid and in the last week he's had three nose bleeds from running too fast.

He also has touched a hot BBQ

He's slammed into doors cause he just doesn't know how to slow himself down. There is only one speed for him... fast.

I can't wait to get Asa into sports so he go take his extra energy somewhere else.

Gwen Goes To Preschool

A tradition in our family... first day of school means a picture in front of the door. (Don't ask me why ... we also took a lot of pictures in front of the fireplace)

She's three but with dirty dirty hands!

Asa wanted to show off.

This tree is inside the preschool. The kids favorite.

My favorite... once a week they go in the kitchen and cook... wish I could cook there

John Eggold

Nine years ago today John passed away. Most of you had never got the chance to meet him but I wish all of you could have. He married my mother and a couple years later he found out he had cancer. I will never forget the time I had with him and the way he loved my mom. I was at Girls Camp when it happened and will always treasure those who were around me at such a difficult time. So today I remember the good times we shared; the memories I'll tell my kids one day.

It's Been Too Long

For those of you that have missed our blog... I apologize. For those of you that only look at our pictures ... I don't have any at the moment. For those of you who would like an update about everyone... well here you go.
Gwen recently turned three years old. (June 27) She has gotten into to the princess stage in her life and was all about Sleeping Beauty for her party. She is now a very glamorous girl with lots of dress up clothes. I still think she is in the "terrible two" stage. Some have told me she acts better than some girls but man... she is a handful these days. She didn't get into the preschool we would have liked her to attend so now we are on a hunt for a preschool. If only there were a Larson's Children Center here.
Asa has established the role of being the world's busiest kid. He can not sit still for the life of him. I swear he must have ants in his pants everyday. Asa is learning new words daily and sorta of having conversations with Gwen. He has moved out of our closet and into Gwen's room and they seem to like the slumber party at night.
Daniel is getting busy at work and has been doing about three peoples jobs by himself. Two employees had to leave for moving reasons or having babies and Daniel took on their jobs for awhile. He's a busy guy but seems to get home before the kids go to bed and he's still in a good mood at the end of the day. He's a rockstar. Daniel is almost done with his guitar he started about a year ago. I will have to take pictures of it cause I hear it amazing. He still bikes when he can and enjoys zipping down the canyon.
As for me... lets see I haven't blogged in a long time so there must be something I've been doing... I went back to taking dance classes and wound up breaking my toe and I haven't been back cause I'm still recovering. (Who knew how long a toe break would actually take!) I took up Knitting in the mean time and I've started my first project. We went back to California for the fourth of July and walked the Danville Parade with Daniel's family celebrating 45 years in child day care. Then we took a wonderful trip to Shasta and had a blast surfing, boating, eating too much food, campfires and just hanging with all the fam. Daniel and I just celebrated our six year anniversary and went to Wicked in San Francisco. Amazing is all I can say... loved it!
Now we are back in Utah trying to get back in the swing of things.
I hope this satisfies the fellow bloggers for a little a while. If not check out are Family Photo Album to see if there are any new pictures you haven't seen. I hope to be back soon to upload pictures here and showing you instead of just telling. Thanks for check up on us and hope all is well with everyone who looks at our blog.

Disneyland 2009

After two days of Disneyland this weekend, we are exhausted! We sure had a fun time though. Great to get away and see something new for a change. Check out some ( we took about a million) pictures on our family photo album.

The one thing that has changed since I've been there is the Characters don't walk around and meet people. You have to go to their "house" and wait in a very long line to talk and take pictures with them. But I will say, it was worth the 45 minute wait to see Gwen hug Sleeping Beauty. That was by far my favorite part and most likely hers as well. And I think some of Gwen's cousins will be a bit jealous that Gwen got to dance in the High School Musical Parade. Gwen was a happy girl this weekend!

Our First Garden

Our ward has a some land about a half mile from our house and we are able to grow some veggies this summer. Their are about 30 plots out there and most have crops on them already. We spent most of our Saturday digging holes and planting veggies and fruit. This kids will like it soon when they can go pick a strawberry out of the ground and eat it on the spot. We have one more plot but I still need to get it ready to plant the squashes and melons and maybe some corn mmmm...

Yes, there are fourteen different kinds of tomato plants. Lots of canning this summer.

Swiss Chard

you can see celery, onion and broccoli

more onion, red onion and yellow

basil and cilantro and one of our strawberry plants

Sick House

Not many post lately cause we all have been sick for a number of weeks. We are catching every vomit flu virus there is out there and can't wait to feel like our normal selves! Gwen has developed Croup and now is on medication and doing a ton better and Asa and I have poison coming out of us. Daniel seems to think by drinking his clay water has prevented him from being as sick as all of us. Hmmm... maybe I should start drink more of that. We had all the brothers, sis-in-laws and the Nana and Papa Larson up here a while ago for a couple of days and had our picture taken from Angie. It was the weekend where they got to see every season in one day. Rain, sunshine and snow. We bought umbrellas just in case it would rain on us and sure enough it did during picture time.

To explain the picture: Everyone was supposed to jump but I look like the complete nut job who only jumped.
We can't wait to see more of what comes out from this day. We love Angie. Well I do anyway...

This picture was taken by Jim and I messed around with it a little. Loving the 60' style right now.

Feed The Birds

"Come, buy my bags full of crumbs
Come feed the little birds,
Show them you care
And you'll be glad if you do
Their young ones are hungry
Their nests are so bare
All it takes is tuppence from you
Feed the birds, tuppence a bag
Tuppence, tuppence, tuppence a bag
Feed the birds," that's what she cries
While overhead, her birds fill the skies

Asa Being Asa...

For the past six months I've been writing a letter each week to Gwen and Asa. It all started when I read the book, "The Wednesday Letters" by Jason F. Wright. Sometimes it's a long letter sometimes it's something little. I can't scrapbook but I can write a little. I'm not sure when I will give these letters to them but It will be a long time from now. So the other day I wrote in Asa's "box" about an event that had happened and I would like to share some of it with you all cause I don't feel like typing it all over again. It's written to him so if you get mixed up I'm just talking to him.

March 5, 2009
Your Aunt Lauren heard about this cutest baby contest on a radio station in California and entered you thinking that you could win. Well I read the “fine print” and it says that you have to be a California resident to enter and win the grand prize of $1000 to a mall in Sacramento. I told her that she couldn’t because I don’t want to get in trouble. But you know she will anyway… There is a week of voting and each day there is a winner to go on to the next round for the grand prize. Lauren texts me and says she has entered you (Asa) and you can vote on Tuesday. She sends an email to a couple of people. I was really glad she didn’t have that many people to send it out to cause I didn’t want you to win… not that you’re not cute enough but the fact that we don’t live in the state of California and I didn’t want to be on the 10 o’clock news. I vote anyway but not telling anyone except your dad that I had. I thought if I had told anyone, you were sure to get more votes and win this thing. Let me tell you something you were by far the best looking baby out of the bunch! I know I’m biased because I’m you’re mom but really …the cutest and most handsome kid on the Internet. Lauren calls me yesterday and reminds me to have the phone handy in the morning cause he’s going to win and all I can think is “ does she think she’s the manager?” The morning goes by without a phone call… Thank goodness! I’m cleaning the house like a crazy person with Gwen singing and making her silly noises when I get this random message. No ring just message saying “ hi this is Natalie from 107.9 radio and if you could call me back that would be great.” I start freaking out thinking they’ve caught us, we’re doomed, I’m going to be fined for entering my kid on a radio station that I don’t even listen to! So I call back cursing Lauren in my head and the girl answers the phone and I tell her I just got a message from you saying I needed to call you guys back. I tell her my name and then she puts me on hold. I wait for a while with blank noise and then I hear music on the other end. Not back ground music, like radio music and then before I think of hanging up I hear these two guys talking and then they say my name and I finally realize that I’m going on air and hope that no one who knows me is listening. I’m panicking inside thinking of the excuse I’m going to give for entering my child in this baby contest and then they say he has won! I curse Lauren again for getting me in this mess and have to answer all these weird questions the guys are asking. Like “all the ladies want to know what you put in his hair to say that way” or “why do parents say their child is this many months instead of years” I was on the air for about ten minutes talking to this morning show I’ve never even heard of. They told me we had won a $100 spa treatment and now you will be in the semi finals for the chance to win $1000. When I hang up all I say out loud is who on earth voted for you? Is that what people do in the morning? Did all the other babies parent’s vote for my kid instead of theirs? I want to see the voting tallies! Manager LoLo is all ecstatic cause you won but I’m thinking okay what happens when you win the whole thing and I have to tell them you’re a Utah resident!
I will say this … I have some trivia on you when you’re older. There comes a time in every bodies life when you will be asked “tell me something I don’t know about you”… You can tell this story of being an Illegal Baby Contest Winner.

There doesn’t have to be a contest for me to know that you’re the custest baby on the block. Even when you drive me crazy I still madly love you. You’re one of the best things in my life. Love you bub!

Gwen's Hair Cut

I cut it a little shorter than normal but I think it's pretty cute...
For those of you who don't know, Gwen will be seeing an Ortho Dr. for her legs at the end of this month. She has one leg longer than the other and the docs seem to think we need to get something started soon. She falls all the time and is our little gravity girl. I'm not sure what they will do at this point all I know is that Gwen keeps us on our toes. We thought we were done seeing the inside of Primary's Medical Center but soon to be back and hopefully not for long.

The Nana and Stella

So I haven't posted in a while and I'm sorry for all of you that check this blog. My latest excuse is I've had a migraine for two weeks straight and well if you've ever had one you will understand. I went to the doc a couple days ago and was put on new meds. So we'll see how it goes.
I was looking through some of my pictures and came across this photo and I laugh every time. They must have a special bond those two!

Check back because there will be more posting soon.

Chili Man

Asa has a thing about feeding himself. He's fed up with the spoon thing and on to bigger and better things. By the end of the meal he's a complete mess and we have to hose him off. But Ida and Stella love his messes cause they get good treats.

Chili anyone?

Sniffing Gwen

For Christmas this year Gwen received a huge box full of coloring materials from Ed and Stef Delorey. In the box there are the smelly markers and Daniel kept telling her to smell them before she drew on the paper. Every time she held one to her nose she would go cross eyed. By the end of the night she had a very colorful nose.

Book

So we received a package in the mail the other day and it was addressed to Gwen and Asa. There wasn't a note to tell us who it was from. The book is called The Ugliest Dog In The World. We don't know if this is a cruel joke because of our taste in dogs but Gwen loves it. She wants it read at every nap and at bedtime. So to the secret book sender thank you for such a cute book. We really enjoy a good Bulldog book!

Letter

Dear Dr. House M.D.,
I would really appreciate it if you took in my husband as a patient. He has been experiencing numb fingertips, hands and forearms for the past five or six weeks. He has received four MRI's and they have found something in his cervical area. The Neurologist in Provo seems to think it's Transverse Myelitis and gave him a three day infusion of steroids. It has not helped and Daniel had a bike accident in October but none of the doctors seem to think it's related. We are hoping you might figure out what this is. I would really like to hear him play guitar again...

I wish one of our favorite shows on T.V. could help in the diagnosis for Daniel. Thank you to all our family who fasted and prayed for us. We are so lucky to have such wonderful and supporting family members.

Julie Vs. Mom

It was really cold tonight so I didn't get many pictures. Who has a pumpkin patch with such great views? I love the Wasatch Mountains. And the shadow picture is of Asa and me. I seem to be behind the camera more often than Daniel.

Bike Blackout

One of my worst nightmares came true this morning...Daniel went for an early bike ride this morning because he knew he wouldn't get one in this evening (his parents are in town). He usually rides with a friend but this morning Phil wasn't able to come with him because he was sick. So Daniel went anyway but only rode 15 minutes into the canyon and turned around to come home. He says he remembers about three minutes of the ride down and then woke up in a pool of blood. What we think happened was his back tire ran over some glass and popped and he fell back on his head slid a ways and slid some more on his face. He really had no idea what happened when he woke up and he actually couldn't remember which way was home for awhile. Daniel walked home with his bike and no one noticed he was hurt. He had blood coming down his neck and face! He woke me up saying, " Will you look at my head? I think it's bleeding." We went to the ER to get everything checked out. He had a CT scan and a couple of X-rays on his neck and shoulders and came home with eight stitches. I'm glad he was wearing the helmet and is still alive...

The Toe

So I've had requests to post Asa's special toe and I had our photographer capture one when we last took pictures with her.
It's cute now and we call it his magic toe. People have asked us if we're going to get it fixed but why would we if it's magic? He's a boy... I don't think he will think twice about it anyway but who knows...

Bath Time

Gwen and Asa have a great time in the tub. Asa thinks he is a fish. He might even beat all of Michael Phelps records when he's older. He thinks he can hold his breath under water and has a funny little toe that could make him go a little faster ( half of a webbed toe).

MIA

We have been really busy around here. With Daniel doing all the signage in the BYU Football stadium, Gwen starting her early education program, Asa starting to crawl and I'm trying to deep clean the house since we have decided to put the house up for sale ... It's taken a toll on our blogging.
We are moving but only in a different house in Provo where there's actually a room for Asa. He's sleeping in our closet and I would love to have a back yard. So the hunt begins.

BYU has their first game on Saturday so I can show you what Daniel has been up to for the past two weeks.

Asa has started to crawl. ahhh.... He's only 8 1/2 months and I find him everywhere. The other day he pulled himself up on the dogs crate and was trying to have a taste. He has such good balance I think he might walk in the next two months and I don't think I'm ready for that.

Gwen has been going to PEEPs. Provo Early Education Program and is loving it. It's to get her talking more, walking better and interacting with kids. They also come to our house and work with her one on one.
Hope everyone has a great Labor Day weekend and check back to see some pictures.

Sleepy Gwen

We had a long weekend with few naps and Gwen could feel the effects on Sunday. I was in the kitchen making dinner and I was worry about the noise level because there wasn't any. I went to go find Gwen cause it just was too quiet and I found her on the couch with a blanket over her and a pillow under her head with a bottle of water. She had made herself a little bed and was waiting till dinner was ready. It was actually kind of nice to have a change of pace with her. It seems like she is everywhere these days and telling me no.... it has been driving me crazy!

We are off to Hawaii!

Five Years And Counting

In the years we have been married...
2 kids, 2 houses, 3 cars, 6 TV's (this is an addiction of Dan's, and much to my dismay, but we've never had more than 2 at once), and 10 dogs.

Here's to many more years of bliss and 5 years past that we wouldn't trade for anything and that have blessed us with our best memories!

Fourth Of July 2008

We woke up early again to go see the parade... but sat in the staging area. It was actually better that way with children involved. Asa had a real kick with all the loud fire trucks and Gwen loved to dance when the bands came down. We didn't get to see the fireworks this year... in person... we watched the Macy's Fireworks on TV. I told Daniel that we have to go to New York to watch the fireworks one year when all of our children don't need naps! They were amazing.

And Underdog did not get away... Darn

Hot Air Balloons

We woke up really early to watch the air balloons launch behind Fastsigns. There were about six balloons left on the field when we got there but I think there were about 20 balloons in all. It put San Ramon to shame...

And we got to see the sun rise

First Time of the Season

We went boating Saturday and I can't believe it took till the end of June for us to get out there! Gwen really liked driving... She would actually tell Daniel to push down on the throttle to go when we stopped.

Asa's First Girlfriend

Asa seems to have a crush on Stella... She may even have a crush on him too, she's needy and will take any attention she can get even if it's from a 6 month old.

She's Wearing Makeup Already?

Julie had to run and check on something with Asa leaving Gwen in our bedroom to "play" for a few minutes. So she thought she'd learn to put on lipstick. Unfortunatley she's only ever seen Julie put makeup on her eyes and so that's where the lipstick went. We think she may be on to a new style.

She Already Has An iphone?

Gwen really likes to talk on the phone. Watch out she may be calling you next.

Look At This Kid!

I think he is just so cute...

What Kind Of Shoe Are You

I found out what kind of shoe I am.... anyone surprised?

You Are Flip Flops

You are laid back and very friendly.

Cheery and sunny in disposition, you usually have something to smile about.

Style is important to you, as long as you can stay casual.

It takes a lot to get you to dress up!

You are a loyal and true person, though you can be a bit of a flake.

You tend to "play hooky" and blow off responsibilities a lot more than most people.

You should live: By the beach

You should work: At a casual up and coming company

So What If We Make Him Cry...

Seriously it's so cute when his bottom lip comes out to let us know that he is sad.  Sometimes we just can't seem to help ourselves in forcing it out of him. It melts my heart every time. Seriously... look at that face.

The Solid Mess

We can't believe it but this boy has made it to 5 mos. old and it's time for him to start making a mess out of everything when he has a bite to eat instead of eating everything neatly out of a bottle. So far the first few attempts have gone well and he's loving his rice cereal. If only our lives were so simple that we could be satisfied eating milk and cereal.

Guitar Building...

Most of my family know how "supportive" I was about having Daniel build a guitar last year. For those of you who don't know... last year we had a litter of 7 puppies in our house, a 10 month old who had a huge medical issue at the time, and I was pregnant for the second time but didn't tell a soul for about 4 months. I was exhausted and well... hormonal. This year about the same time he came to me and asked if he could build another guitar. I was reluctant because I knew what we were both getting into... Tuesday, Thursday nights and Saturday mornings. But I was a nice wife and let him build another guitar but this time with a few guilt trips. A couple classes into it he came home and told me he was going to teach me how to play the guitar because he was building the guitar for me. At first I thought .... Yeah sure you are but now I'm really excited about it. We had our first guitar lesson the other day and my fingers still hurt. He made his own blog about it and I wanted anyone who is interested to check it out here. He is working really hard on this guitar and says it needs to be perfect ... something about how valuable the wood is ... I don't really understand but it's looking beautiful! This doesn't mean I'm going to start singing with him...

Don't Judge Us

We don't ever let Stella do this... it just happened ... ok well we did let her this time cause we wanted to take a picture but she always wants to have a taste.

A Minute of Spring

In Utah spring happens once a week and winter comes every other day. We try to enjoy the warm weather when we get it.

Our Toy Boy

I love his cute chubby hands. The dimples instead of knuckles makes me laugh. Asa is starting to play with toys and gets really excited about his links.

Movies That Are Worth It

Daniel and I don't get out much these days.... Well I don't at least so we have been renting movies or buying them and these two are worth seeing and owning. They are in my top ten list now. Both movies have great music. Beatles fans will love Across The Universe. Happing watching!

The Easter Bunny Came

Gwen had a lot a fun with her own easter egg hunt. I wish I had it on video because every time she spotted an egg she would make this ooooo sound and her whole body would shake. Thanks Aunt Kate for a great egg hunt!

Gwen Loves Her Brother

I just thought this was a cute picture. Gwen is really liking her brother now. She talks to him and reads to him and gives him kisses all the time. She is really helpful getting diapers for me and making sure they get in the trash.

Rolling Boy

A couple weeks ago Asa rolled over. I think it was the beginning of March when I saw him. I thought it was just a fluke because he was so young but he did it again when Daniel got home and then again and again. He has been very different from Gwen development wise. Very stiff and strong so early on. It's fun and also a little scary. I just hope he's not walking before 12 months!

No More Glasses!

We went to the eye doctor a couple weeks ago and got the OK to take Gwen's glasses off for good. She had been taking them off for a couple weeks and handing them to me. I just thought she didn't like wearing them. It's nice to not worry about the glasses anymore but she looked so cute in them. She may need them in the future but for now her eyes are straight and perfect!

It's Been A Long Time...

I haven't posted anything in a long time and I'm very sorry. My computer has not been my friend for a couple weeks and tonight Daniel is at his guitar class so I can finally get his computer. There is a lot to blog so bare with me.

Bag Tagged

So I'm on another blog site called the supermoms and we all got Diaper Bag tagged. It's fun seeing what all the moms have in their bag. So all you ladies..... get out your bags and tell us what you have in it but don't go cleaning it before... that would be cheating.

Blessed Day

We went to California to bless Asa presidents weekend. We had such a great time with everyone. We wish we were permanently there.... some day soon.

My Morning Routine

Just wanted to show you what I do almost every morning.

My Little Valentines

They are so cute. I'm glad we get to keep them...

My Little Elf Helper

Gwen picks up on everything these days. I was sweeping the floors while Gwen was eating her lunch and after she was done Gwen got to the mop and started doing the floors. She thought it was so much fun. I hope she gets really good at it because that's my least favorite thing to do. I wonder what other chores she might want to do for me...

Good Girl

For about a week now I've been hearing Gwen say something to the dogs but I could never quite understand her until yesterday. She was in her high chair eating lunch and Ida is usually hoping for some food to drop when I heard her say "Ida" and then "good girl". It's funny how she says it because it sounds deep almost how Daniel and I would say it. She is also beginning to walk every where.... unstable but walking none the less!

All Smiles!

We've been told by quite a few people that they've never seen a little girl so smiley as Gwen and at 7 weeks old Asa is just starting to share his smiles with us! So it's all smiles at our house (at lease for the kids - we're so tired sometimes it's hard for us to smile). Here is one smile from each of these cute kids!

The Kids Visit Santa!

Gwen and Asa went to visit Santa tonight. it was Gwen's second time and of course Asa's first (at least as far as we know). Although Gwen didn't want to have anything to do with sitting on Santa's lap she was happy to sit next to him in the BIG chair. We thought she would cry but she didn't one bit. Asa slept through the whole event, we'll show him the pictures tomorrow and tell him what happened. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Our New Baby Boy

Asa Morgan Larson

Born: 11-30-2007
Weight: 7 lbs. 5 oz.
Length: 19 inches
Time: 12:10 am

It was a different (and much less stressful) experience in the hospital this time around and it was so much fun having him room with us. We are so excited to have a healthy baby boy. It was a long 13 hour day for us both but especially for Julie in labor. We are so happy he's here. Thanks for all the help from the family! You can view more pictures of him here.

Gwen's Eye Surgery

On Wednesday we took Gwen to Primary Children's Medical Center to have eye surgery. She was a real trooper.

After the surgery we could go back to the Post-Op room for her recovery. Just as I was walking in she was given morphine to help her calm down. She didn't like waking up and not knowing where she was. After that everything was just wonderful to her. Sometimes she would try to wake up and tell me about the lights on the ceiling.

Gwen had to drink something before she went home but wouldn't take anything so the nurse gave her a popsicle to suck on. When she had licks it was the best thing in the world but mostly she held and stared at it.
We are so happy that she did so well. Her eye is doing great now and looks better everyday. Thank you to everyone who had thoughts and prayers for her. We are lucky to have such wonderful family support. And thanks to Gwen's favorite uncle Seth for coming to the hospital and trying to distract us.

Julie Got Tagged

Thank you to my wonderful brother Matthew for tagging me I’ve been very nervous about writing this… Here we go

1. I eat ice cream with a fork. Daniel thinks it’s the oddest thing but I have always done it that way and there’s usually more forks than spoons in the silverware drawer.

2. When I listen to music I can’t stop myself from always choreographing a dance to it.

3. I hate salt. I think it’s strange when people salt everything on there plate. The food already has the flavors it ever needs.

4. I never wear makeup. It’s good and bad. Some days I think I really need it but I feel so dirty and claustrophobic.

5. I have silent battles with Daniel. He likes the pennies separate from the silver coins… I could care less so I don’t sort through them, he likes the peppermill to cut the peppercorns very fine on food… I like to have it cut them in half, (I love pepper) the showerhead is always pointed down when I get in… I like it to shoot to the other side of the wall. No one ever wins.

6. This is embarrassing to admit but I have stinky feet. Did you know that there are a quarter-million sweat glands on your feet? You generate about a half a liter of sweat from your foot in a day. Okay I’m getting grossed out. Next…

7. I don’t understand the T.V. show The Office. Michael Scott makes me uncomfortable, Dwight Shrute makes me crazy and each episode is pointless. I prefer watching re-runs of Friends.

The following are tagged and yes if I had to do it so do you…
-Daniel (my honey)
-Andrew (because you are new to the blogging world)
-Mom aka. Lynette (this means you have to get with it and start blogging)
-Stef Delorey (because you’re one of my friends who lives far away and are missed)
-Chance (one of my favorite nephews)

Our Little Pink Octopus

This was Gwen's first year to Trick-or-Treat. We went to Holly's sister's house in Spanish Fork and had some good chili made by Andrew and then set off to knock some doors down. She had fun meeting new people and sucking on a sucker still in the wrapper. None of the extra tentacles helped her in her goal of walking.

Gwen Taught Herself About Candy

Gwen is now in the stage where she empties everything out of the cupboards while her mom (and occasionally her dad) follows her around putting away the stuff she's just cleared out. On Sunday she found some of the candy we've got waiting for Halloween and we thought she'd just empty the cupboard and move on to the next cupboard as usual. We underestimated her...

She was able to unwrap her sucker and get her first taste of candy. Halloween came early for this little girl and she didn't give it up easy!

Fall at the Park

Julie and Gwen went to the park last week and found these beautiful colors; the fall colors in Utah were bright! Gwen also had a blast playing on the swing.
